And whatever I have blogged, never made any sense. In the last few years of "Trying to understand the Industry" I have realised that it is very important to express yourselves. You must share with the world what you feel in the manner that it is reachable to them. If you believe in something, no body can deny it to you. What has stopped me from being a frequent blogger is the lack of knowledge of "The Scared Art of Writing" . I succeed to gather a bunch of words which semantically hold right but they fail grab the sensibility of the reader. In simple words they fail to reach you.

Pledged to overcome my limitation I have decided to blog regularly, improving the quality of every post by a considerable value. I shall require your support .Let me know if you as a reader could relate to it. Let me know how far I am from what I have set out to reach.

From this day .. The newbie’s track would last till I can bridge the scope of newbie articles to the first article of Dev’s track… About Dev's track ... I wish it neve ends . and I always have some very good stuff to present ... :)

I would be eagerly waiting for all your comments and ideas ….. (some people dont even do tht .. if u r among those ... hit alt+ tab scan ur system .. get a virus .. get its type ... gooogle and then again clean ur system using help there...) But have u ever thought how is it possible for antivirus to detect what type of virus is it .. and how does it actually recognises a virus .....
Well i thought about it .. and found it possibel to share with u .....
Every file has its signatures .... Every file has its own signatures ... A signatures is the functioinality expected by the file .... If a file is .exe file ,,, then it must satisfy certain constraints ..... such as it must use protected memory given to it ... should keep in track of its child processes or tasks ... must chack that it shuts and surenders for deallocation all of its spawned processes .. etc ... if a file misbehaves ie does something apart from its signature signifies it is called a virus ...if it communicates(means listen to commands from user level) it is called a trojan .... if it gives birth to any trojans or viruses then it is called a worm(that is the parent whose child misbehaves is called a worm )... typically a parent which infects even its own children may be called a virus ...
Now sometimes even though the signatures matches it is is termed as a virus, as the action specified by the signature may not be secure ... Now whther the process trying to do an unacceptable job is a virus or a user mismatch can be decided based on the application and system software constructs....
An anti viruses always contains a data base ..with definitions for various possible file signatures ... which are not acceptable .... if there is any match they are computed thouroughly and handled ... it may be possible for a better explanatin of the antiviruses but bot here .. If u have any corrrections or better explanations .. please do post it on the comments ... for those who crave for more possibilities theres lot to come in lots of mroe posts ..
hold tite and keep waiting ...
Dhaval Bhanushali...
-------------------------------------------

We are again here with a possibility ... A possibilty which involve numbers ...... Numbers which involve both calculation and identification .....
We call this numbers IP numbers .... IP stands for Internet Protocol ...
Internet Protocol refers to the network layer of the open-system protocol ....the open system protocol need not be the OSI model here ..... As we know the routing of packets is maintained by this layer ...... IP performs the connectionless flexibilty to the network ...... Remember IP is a part of the Internet protocol suite .... An IP number is away of IP addressing .... A 32 Bit logic address means an IPv4 number .... A 128 bit logic address is known as IPv6 number ... the reason that they are being defined by their addressing capability is becoz of the reason they have been made .... they were made to provide a unque id to all the users ... not just for ur identification .. but also for ur recognition ... that means the server never knows anything more about you other than your IP number when its dealing with you ....(dont argue about the headers a browser send ... ) ......

Now lets try and know two those things about IP numbers .. especially IPv6 ......which are hard to google.....
1) IPv4 is base 256 addressing system ... the four octets are converted to their corresponding number to decimal value ........ this is to have a count of number of connections they have .... however when the large number of people started subscribing the idea of subnetting was introduced and they forgot bout the count... now they r worried about a new thing .. the problem of routing through so many ips and still able to maintan security ..... and consistency with various servers ...
2) well this one i would like u to google .. how to telnet to a ipv6 number .. interesting right .. when u will try this on ur own without knowing or searching it may ..work or it may not .. thats the part of the hint ;) ... well i will give the method embedded in my upcoming posts in the my abilities section ... till then .. hold tite and keep waiting :)

bye for now ,
Dhawal Bhanushali....
-------------------------------------------

A possibility which is interesting .... A possibility which is now a capability .. no not my capability ... but the capability of ur computer to understand that it is virtual .. but the capability of the network u r on to understand, that it is real ..... but the capability of the virtual world u and I live in, to understand that sometimes we have to switch sides ...
Ports connect countries and also themselves .... But do you know they also connect two computers .... Well in the last post we said we connect two computers through two services called telnet and Ftp ..so then where does the PORT come from now ... well it comes from IANA ... lol ... IANA stands for Internet Assigned Numbers Authority .... Ports are used in the TCP/IP to name the ends of logical connections which carry long term conversations .... To keep in record of what a services a user is using .... IANA has assigned each service a port ..... This though not the part of a protocol to compulsarily acquire a service only on and from a specific port ... for instance PN 23 is assigned to telnet service for TCP connections .... But can can telnet on to any other port ..... like say PN 80 which is used for http connections ..... There also exists ports and services which arent controlled by IANA .... these are called registered services ... these ports are not subjected to any rules of specific nature ..they only provide some flexibilities if connected by sepcific services ....
In science of programming ports are usually called as sockets (sockets on my pc and ports are on yours).... the knowledge of various protocols ,services and their respective ports is very essential in socket programming ....... All ur softies which connect with the internet have to be configured to connect some socket or port ....
Now lets go to the interesting part .... things that wont google out easily ....... What is the speciality about the word PORT ..... The word port is synonymous to the port word used to describe connecting pins of our hardware devices ..... This has been done so to make a statement that anything from out side has to connect only through a port ..... even if it is a service component or hardware component ..... the second interesting part of the name port is that it is close to the word RE(PORT) ...... whenever u want to know about a user u just need the list his services and there u go u know all he is doing ..
Well thats it for this post .. this is just a beggining ...... this are just possibilities ..... wait for the happenings ...u will know and learn more ... but for now possibilities all that is possible ....
hold tite ....and keep waiting

bye for now
Dhawal Bhanushali

-------------------------------------------

Possibilty of knowing that the world is very small ... possibilty that any system in this world can be connected to the other possibility that every computert in this world can communicate with the other....
But how is this made possible ... Well of allllllllllll those networking tools and applications which help the cause ... ruling on the top clearly are two services Telnet and FTP ... Telnet and Ftp are two applicative services which enable two computers to communicate with eachother as if they were physically wired ... Telnet allows the user to log on to an account on a remote computer and work as if you were there ...where as ....FTP allows u to move the files to and fro from one system or network to another ... like u and me :P ..... both these services are supported world wide and are famous for the notorious (:P) job they do .....
Telnet is basically a tele(far or remote) network protocol ... FTP is basically a File tranfer Protocol ... A protocol is a set of rules for both transmision and connection..... A rule is procedure(not restriction ) for transmission and connection .....
Now lets have a look at two things about telnet and ftp which usually are difficult to find through google.... ( i didn't say impossible )...... its waste to give the functioning options of the services as they are giving more beautifully on the web by many more talented people.....
Telnet and FTP are basically written for the same type of networks and are coded the same way ...then y do they have different functionalities ....... Well here is the reason .... Telnet only allows small packets for transfer ... thus at a time u can send very light weight data such as login name, password or commands for execution .... file transfer in small packets at such rate will be disastorous ..... just imagine waiting for a 4kb file for ages to be copied on to your system .... when u could just physically go and bring it .... lol ...... FTP on the other hand allows large packets for transfer and hence it is not usually the best option to transfer data like id and password .... so, to avoid wastage/overburden of bandwith , the protocols are so designed that even if one wants they cannot login with ftp and cannot move a file with Telnet...... yes this is a rule still not a restriction .... as u r are given a procedure to login and send file seperatley ... and its not a restriction as u have an alternative to fulfill ur requirement ..... :)
the second interesting thing is the option term type we see while are telenetting.... In earlier versions of windows like me and 98 we see that this option is term type and the default value is vt 100 .... well this vt 100 is always confusing and in most of the tutorials on net about telnet no body tells as to what it does and why ..... well this is a video terminal emulator .... the telnet screen we see after passing the connect command is actually wat we are selecting here as vt 100 .... there are various alternatives .... like vt 220 and ibm3270..... The properties of vt100 etc and the commands it supports are however very tough to discuss here .... but they can be learnt to help using the terminal however i wont be giving them here .. one can get to know them from google ... as the search is now narrowed by me now ;) .....
well this isnt the peak yet lots more to come and wait for its every bit ..... hold tite and keep waiting....

bye for now ...
Dhawal Bhanushali.....

-------------------------------------------

How does this happen ..... Well yahoo and most chat engines around the world use many beautiful algos and schemes to maintain and manage the high traffic on their servers... One of those viewpoints or schemes is that to sign u off from server side whenever u stay idle or actionless for a considerable period of time ,with respect to yahoo .... So when some one doesn't want u to be online he sends u a null packet to you which inturn returns a null packet to the yahoo servers signifying that u r ideal or assumes that you have logged off and disconnects the channel from server side ..
and thus unwanted unexpected ...when your girlfriend is supposed to reply to your proposal for date .... when your mom is supposed to tell you " i love you kiddy ".... when your son is about tell u "mom, i am missig you ...." boom u r signed out ... yahoo buffs and tuffs call such softies as booters .... Guess what .... Yahoo and Msn people are working on it now to fix it .... they catogerise it as customer abuse ..... well ya too formal a name ... some people who desigend these booters have also designed some anti- booters ... Saving this dll files in your system at the right places will help prevent getting booted form such booters .. However, as mentioned earlier, there are many such possibilities and u may be a victim of any one or more of them .... to prevent urself from getting booted you will have to wait till yahoo equips it self against all or most of these so called beamers .. there could be though some interim solutions which i wont really like to comment up as i have no real idea on how they work so cant write about them :-p ... well if u r interested in those, u go get it, learn its viewpoint and post it on your blog and let me know about it too :D.
welll wait for more interesting and specific tech posts .. so hold tite and keep waiting

Bye For Now......
Dhawal Bhanushali...

-------------------------------------------
